School Rules and Policies

- The unit price of the lessons is $28.00 for 30 minutes, $37.50 for 45 minutes and $47.00 for 60 minutes. This is for the entire school year beginning September 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024.

- Lessons are payable on the 1st day of each month by pre-authorized debit payment (DPA). Late payment will result in a $25 penalty. It is the client's responsibility to notify CEMA Musique of any changes to their banking information.

- The student is entitled to a maximum of 2 make-up lessons per school year. To be entitled to a make-up lesson, the student must notify reception via the student portal no later than 24 hours before the lesson is due to be held. It is the student's responsibility to register for available make-up slot via the student portal before June 30, 2024.

- It is the student's responsibility to arrive on time for class. No retakes will be assigned for tardiness.

- In the event of a medical emergency, the student may be eligible for a make-up lesson. To be eligible for a make-up lesson, the student must submit a signed doctor's bill to the secretary indicating the date and time of entry into the emergency room.

- All lessons are taught by qualified teachers with extensive training in music.

- Students may choose to take their lessons online rather than in person. The student must notify the reception desk within a reasonable amount of time before the lesson. In the event of a technical problem, the student is responsible for notifying the front desk within 10 minutes of the beginning of the lesson.

- In the event of a course interruption, a penalty will be applied in accordance with section 46 of the Regulation respecting the application of the Consumer Protection Act. No penalty will be applied if the student notifies the administration in writing at least 4 lessons before the final stop of his or her lessons, starting the Monday following the reception of the notice.

- Photos or videos may be taken during the year to add to our Facebook page or our website. Students who do not wish to have photos taken are responsible for notifying the school in writing before their first lesson.

- CEMA Musique takes the liberty of taking the necessary sanitary measures to provide a safe environment for all. The school has the right to refuse a student with symptoms of cough or fever. If the student or a family member contracts covid-19, the student must remain in isolation for 10 days.

- This registration may be cancelled without penalty by notifying the administration in writing
( before July 31, 2023.
